You could just buy the CD from Fat Possum Record's website.

Just listened to the two singles the other day, I think they're terrific. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

Except that their link leads right back to Pledge Music. The good news is they have autographed CDs available (100 left it says). The bad news, $25 for a single CD.

I bought mine through Amazon for roughly $15. I got it on release day.

You sure? When I go to the Fat Possum store it puts it in cart for 13 dollars.

I figured it out. The link on the main page goes to Pledge Music but if you go to the store first and then search for the band I got there. But even better news. They are touring and coming to my town! I wonder how much Replacements music ends up in the setlist.

Cheers! I was at the NYC show no Replacements songs a bunch of stuff off the new album and the first Bash and Pop album and one or two tracks from Village Gorilla Head and One Man Mutiny...I think Sorry I don't know exact setlist. Show was fun and his backing musicians are really good. If you like Stinson and his Post Mats stuff you should check out the show.

AFAIK Tommy has never and probably never will play any Mats songs live...I think he played Satellite a few times during the first B&P run but that hardly counts.

I wish he would revisit some Perfect songs, some of his best work.

I'm surprised to see he isn't playing Loose Ends. Not a hit exactly but probably the best known B&P song, or at least I would have thought.

I think it may be the fact that it is basically a Westerberg song in disguise...ghost written by Paul partially, and he plays the solo on the original.

This works for me. Replacements songs would just be a bonus but I love the first Bash & Pop album so if the setlist sticks to that I'll enjoy the show. I never cared for the Perfect EP and have never heard the full-length Perfect album.

A quick spring tour starts on May 18 at The Bell House in Brooklyn. I respect Tommy's dedication to raising his daughter.

    This album is absolutely fantastic.
So many great songs and love the vibe and attitude!
I bought the vinyl LP and unfortunately it sounds thin and muffled. And side 2 is off centre.
The Apple Music stream I had been listening to for the last few months is far superior.
    Download card is mp3 only.
I'm heading to the USA in July and was hoping to catch a show, but it seems they're only playing up until the end of May...

Tommy is a single father, so his tour schedule is in fits and bursts.

After living with this record for a couple of months I have come to the realization that Tommy needs help in the chorus department...not melody wise, but lyrically.

I can only imagine how some of these songs in Westerberg's hands would have turned out better,as some were submitted for the aborted Mats album. However,Paul being the dick he is wouldn't have allowed them anyway,so it's a moot point.

That said,it's an admirable effort to recreate the first B&P record, but never (for me) quite reaches those heights.

It's too bad Steve Brantseg isn't back with Stinson. Steve is an awesome guitar player (previously played w/ Bash & Pop and the John Ewing Band, among others).
