Amsterdam vinyl shopping

The last thread about shopping in Amsterdam is now 4 years old and closed. anyone have some suggestions on some good shops to buy some records..? We'll be visiting in May and would like to do some shopping

 

May's a good time for visiting A'dam and for record shopping.

A couple of stores with new and used records:
Concerto, Utrechtsestraat: a wide variety of music (jazz, rock, folk, classical), nice used records section.
Fame, in the basement of Mediamarkt, next to central station: mainly CD's, cheap for Box sets. Always great offers.
Velvet Music, Rozengracht: a nice, small shop with helpful and friendly staff
Record Friend, Sint Antoniesbreestraat: almost exclusively vinyl, two seperate shops for used and new. Impressive selection. Expensive.

In the last years a couple of new shops have opened, all carrying used product.

I love classic rock and am always in shopping mode for the following artists

• Black Sabbath/Dio
• Scorpions
• Thin Lizzy
• FREE
• Stones/WHO
• Iron Maiden

 

Shouldn't be too hard to find some nice German or UK pressings for the bands you mention.
And most Dutch pressings are quite good as well.
