Tim, curious, have you compared Paradigm Inspiration with Paradigm Studio v.5? What is the advantage of Inspiration over Studio? Thanks!
Howdy Yes I have, owned the V.5 prior to the Inspirations. The Inspirations have a slightly larger cabinet which of coarse gives them a bit fuller bass. The low frequency driver is from the Signature series and is a bit more resolving. Also auditioned the Sigs in my home but found the Anniversary Inspirations to have more flow and momentum. I won't try and explain how there rhythmic melody impressed me but I was impressed. Are you considering a pair ? Tim
Thanks for the response! There is a pair on eBay and the seller is 30 minutes away. I am thinking may be I could just offer cash directly. : ) One thing about the Studio 10 is that sometimes I found the high is a bit harsh. The "sss" and cymbals sometimes a bit too much. I think beryllium tweeter might be less harsh. Thus, thinking about it. : )
This is my downstairs main storage room. It's also the band room...you're not seeing the drumset, amps, guitars, etc. I do most of my listening upstairs but I have an old Pioneer TT down here. It's funky....and that's how I likes it.
No matter small or big room (I tried in multiple locations in my house), it is like that when turn up a bit loud. The source have a lot to do with it. But, I have noticed in same exact setup, LS50 is less harsh. However, I like the clarify and sound stage of Studio much more than LS50. Thus, was hoping the Inspiration could offer the goods of Studio 10 minus the harshness. Thanks!
Are those records on the bottom shelf? You got a turntable? I don't see one in the picture. Its a shame if those aren't being played on your TT, if those are records.
@Kevin j , is that one of those oddball Sansui stereo reverb units I see? That's one helluva 8-track collection you have!
I have a turntable in the room. This is a fairly old pic, so some of the stuff has changed, but this give you a better idea of how the room looks. I still have the Project Debut in that same spot.
I bought a Realistic 8-track player for $5 at a thrift store a while ago... It came with the original carton and it works, so how could I resist? It sounds like crap too, just like I remembered!
I used to do the exact same thing! The short springs produce a pretty cheezy, ping-y effect, but it has its uses!
I just set it up a few days ago. I have no idea if it will be useful, but I had the inputs available so I figured why not? As for the 8 track collection, a few years ago I traded a cheap guitar for 1000 8 tracks. I sold about half and kept the rest. I have a portable player that we use in the summer when we're hanging around in our forest.
Great room! Diggin the red phone. Looks like the retro push button? Also, nice doggy. Almost didn't see him/her.......... blends in with the rug.
