    Check out this abomination:

Yes, it's an animated remake version of Will\y Wonka And The Chocolate Factory with Tom and Jerry shoehorned into it.... for some reason.

I bet some "creative" person at Warner Bros. came up with this and thought it was such a clever way to use two of their existing properties to make a new product...

Roald Dahl must be rolling in his grave.

    Wow...just...wow.

It reminds me of a slapstick version of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern if it was animated and really bad.

or a movie version of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Roald Dahl rolling over in his grave? More like vomiting in his grave. If he was a zombie that is. :)

Still, I guess if this gets the kids to read Roald Dahl's books then it serves at least one good purpose.

Intriguing.... I would give it a go if someone were to lend me a copy.

  5. Somehow I doubt it will inspire anyone to read it and they'll be disappointed that Tom and Jerry aren't in it.

Watching the preview, it kind of feels like they made a cartoon version of Willie Wonka, and then decided that it wasn't going to work, so they went back and bolted on some Tom and Jerry stuff after the fact.

Yes, it looks like utter and complete crap.

There was an animated Tom & Jerry film in the early 90's which flopped big time.

One of the voices in the trailer sounds VERY familiar. The gray mouse named Tuffy to be exact.

I was about to say Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera too, but then I remembered some of the stuff they signed off on when they were alive, so... nah.

Never mind the kids, *I* still haven't read the original book... Seen the Gene Wilder film, seen the Johnny Depp remake, never read the book...

Yet another Pixar Cars film suddenly doesn't seem so terrible, does it?

I saw that. In the theater.

My general rule of thumb is - any cartoon where Tom and Jerry are friends is crap.

You'd be shocked by how many situations exist where this rule applies.
