WOW, I looked it up, it's soooo nice, and so well made. There are some shots of the internal parts of the amplifier. I'm sure you will hang on to that for many years. I have always loved the big meter look of Mac equipment, and Technics does it equally as well, great look!
I just got my dream receiver for $250: Pioneer SX-828 to go along with my modified Pioneer PL-518 I love how this combo sounds. (I modified the receiver to keep the meters lit no matter what input is selected.)
Wait a minute, your happy with that, it's not even the upper end of pioneer gear and that table looks like it cost less than 1500 dollars! So how can it be that you are happy with that setup? I didn't see the speakers, are they normal also? I love it, you have a very nice system very clean looking, I just wanted to push your buttons. I love it when people choose vintage gear and find out how great it can be.
Haha! The Paradigm Titan speakers were bought new 25 years ago when I was in college. I got them at a locally owned stereo shop that let me finance them interest free for $20 a month for a year. I know I also should not be happy with them because they're not big enough or expensive enough, but I love them.
Patching sheetrock and painting either side of new gas fireplace, tile and hearth. stereo rig off to right....
One more thing to demonstrate my pure amateur audio status: I have these XT60 connectors in between my receiver and speakers (an outdoor pair of Polk Atrium 6's in addition to the Paradigm Titans) because I do a lot of entertaining and if my SX-828 goes out I can quickly switch over to my Onkyo Integra TX-65 in about a minute.
Mazzy, let's play the fun game, count the beans in the jar. I'm going to take a guess at how many CD's you have. Because you have lots of multiple sets, I am going to include them but if it's a 3 CD set, I am counting as 3 CD's. So my guess is a total CD count of 1050 CD's. I recently moved and just happened to count mine, as I got worn out packing all the darn things away in boxes and I had 750+ CD's, but I'm going to put my guess in on yours at 1050 CD's, am I close?
I'd actually be willing to get that's closer to 2500 right there. Whatever the case, very nice presentation.
Sorry for big pic. Headphone setup. Random CDs on table with more in boxes. Marantz HD-CD1 Audio-GD NFB-12.1 DAC/Amp Grado GH1 and GH2 headphones Replacing the Audio-GD with a better Audio-GD unit next week.
