Jean Fogelberg tells the backstory of Dan's mystery song, 'All Night Long' -- from the DF Carnegie Hall page:

it was important that the person who yelled out to Dan, “Play all night long!” just before Dan began riffing on an impromptu song called “All Night Long”, could be heard at the start of that track and not at the end of the track before it.
So, it's a spontaneous musical pun, an improvised song for a fan... How great is that?!

Guess I didn't say it publicly, but those samples make the waiting even harder. I ended up playing the Greetings... DVD twice in a row. I'm thirstier for Dan's music than even I realized !!!

Deciding my CBS CDs of Captured Angel, Nether Lands, and Phoenix sounded anemic, compared to my vinyl from decades ago, I knew I could count on the BGOs ( since I was floored by the quality of the Home Free / Souvenirs twofer ).
So today, an Amazon delivery person knocked on the door, and delivered my undamaged, unbroken copies of the respective twofers of Captured Angel / Netherlands, and Twin Sons / Phoenix.
I stress undamaged, since the 2 disc jewel cases are somewhat fragile, with their tiny hinges.

Danny's music on a beautiful, Tennessee Sunday is perfect.

The bass on Loose Ends is a lead instrument...I'd nearly forgotten that.

is the "carnegie hall" CD a manufactured CD or a CDR?

there seems to be some concern on the internet that it is a CDR..........let's hope not.

Definitely manufactured. If you read Jean Fogelberg's history of how the CD came to be, you can get a inside look at the pre-production, sound restoration from the ADAT tapes, and there a major part of the story about when the first batch of manufactured CDs arrived from the plant.

Fear not! Buy with confidence!

I would seriously love to here a 5.1 version of The Innocent Age on either SACD or Blu-ray. That would be a dream album. One other dream release would be that album as a 96/24 file on HD Tracks.

Feeling more energetic today, I've pulled out my original-bought-by-a-much-younger me, vinyl (Nether Lands), and it sounds even richer ( which I honestly never take for granted, knowing results can vary with care of the album over a 40 year span, plus my own physical state when listening).
Bigger bass, bigger drums, bigger smile.
