How to get inside a Rega a Planet 2000 CD?

I previously started a thread about a Rega Planet 2000 not being able to play the last track or two of discs (not burned) with long playing times. One suggested fix was lubricating the rails. I have not even gotten inside yet and already I have a question - how do you open the darn thing?

 

It's the easiest in the industry to access. Two screws, right up top. Best to leave it to someone with proper tools and experience.

Thanks, but this one has no screws on top. It is unlike other component's I've maintained with regards to case removal.

 

I sold mine a while ago but I sure don't remember any screws on the top. Perhaps you meant on the faceplate?

Well, that was tooo simple. This player is obviously put together differently. Last night I put some oil on the single rail (was expecting two) and will see tonight if it helped any in playing that long CD.
