    Hey everyone,
I'm noticing a hum when using this phono box.
It's usually unnoticeable when the record is playing but
i can hear the hum pretty clearly at 30 percent volume. (Which seems like low volume)

I understand that there will always be a hum but this is
    obviously more than need be

Will adapting one of these help the hum on the phono box ?

I had a hum with my phono as well, which used a 2 prong earth the TT wall wart PSU. I finally got off my butt on the weekend and connected the T earth to a spare input on the amp. Hum is now completely gone in my case.

Perhaps this will work for you as well :)

Instead of connecting your earth lead from your TT to the phono earth proing, clip it onto an Amplifier input instead, which will be earthed properly.
