    Nah.

  3. What would they sue over? Sounds more Stonesy than anything. ITs good to hear John rocking, something he hasn't done since Larry Crane left the band. GOod tune, good return, but his quality has been quietly high this past decade or so, but decidedly mordant.

JM has produced absolutely under the radar great albums for 15 straight years now.

Don't really hear any Zeppelin in this. Good song though and Izzy Stradlin plays on it, btw.

No... but it definitely is the "In the Evening" rift...

Oh come on. Might as well call a spade a spade. Not saying it's anywhere near enough in the context of the song to go to court... but sure... same rift.

Really good song. Ripped off from Led Zep, nah.

Carlene Carter is a perfect match.

This isn't even close to being a Led Zep ripoff. What in the world are you talking about?

The guitar tone is similar. The harmony and melody are marginally adjacent to being close to resemblance.

"I think Led Zeppelin can sue! They can sue Willie Dixon and other blues legends for stealing from them,"
said Willie Wonka. "Wait," he added, "strike that. Reverse it."

Good song. But Absolutely no resemblance to anything Zeppelin.

I think you forgot a few "tttt"s to make your point.

Too much time hanging with the rift-raft? Or perhaps nott enought?

  20. I don't hear anything Zeppelin in the song. It sounds like pure Johnny Cougar to me--overproduced roots rock. At first, I thought the overly processed drum sound hearkened back to his 80's glory days but then the drum machine from 2:10-2:30 just made me sigh . . .

Sounds like a song by The Pretenders, the one about Ohio?

    That was what I heard.

Maybe there's a Led Zeppelin similarity because there are drums, bass, guitar and a vocal in
    both songs? :-/

Some similarity to the In the Evening riff, for sure, but I doubt it's enough to be actionable. I understand what you are hearing, and that may come down to how familiar you are with the song, compared to those who know it, but haven't immersed themselves in it.
