Cool! Looking forward to this. I was just thinking the other day how I haven't seen James Roday in anything since this show went off the air. Sean and Gus are one of my all time favorite TV duos.

I think Roday's been doing some directing. At first, I was surprised to see the reunion news, but I suppose he and Maggie Lawson got all their post-relationship awkwardness and tension out of the way during the tail end of the series. Anyway, seems like a good excuse to post the Psych theme:

I forget the exact line in the Psych finale, but they make it appear as though Monk is in the other room investigating the crime. Nice touch...

Zachary Levi (Chuck) will play a villain in the movie. Should be fun...

Yes, their track record on non traditional one hour episodes is poor. But, I hope they a good enough plot saved around to make it worthwhile.

What was the musical episode? I'm sure I saw it, but don't remember what it was. What other "non-traditional one hour episodes" were there? If you're including the Twin Peaks homage "Dual Spires", I couldn't disagree more. That was one of the best things the show ever did.

Looking forward to it. Anytime we run across a blue Toyota Echo 'in the wild', everybody
in our house will still, even now in 2017, automatically blurt out the word: "Blueberry!"

Glad this is happening. One of my favorite shows of all time. I actually caught an episode last night on ION.

"Dual Spires" is my favorite episode of the series. I have been looking for it on ION to record it.

Awesome episode. I also love their homage to the movie Clue. I think my favorite episode is Viagara Falls.

    Looking forward to this!

Great news. I love this show. I'm surprised we haven't seen more of James Roday. His comic timing was just spot on.

Just added Ric Flair's daughter to the cast to serve as Zach Levi's evil sidekick 'Heather Rockrear'.

If casting is still ongoing, that may mean they're pushing back filming because Timothy Omundson ("Lassiter") had a mild stroke in May a couple weeks before they were to start shooting. I'd rather they delayed filming as long as necessary (even if it meant the movie aired next year) to avoid his stroke being written into the script.

"Dual Spires" was on ION a couple of days ago. I forgot I set it to record on my DVR a couple of weeks ago or I would have mentioned it here sooner.

IIRC, the original episode was much longer than an hour? So, the rerun must be very edited.

Yeah, the orignal broadcast was longer than the syndication version. I used to have the full original one on my DVR, but that DVR died long ago. I was going to purchase the episode via Vudu, but they only have the shorter version for sale. The full length version is apparently on the DVD set, but I don't want to buy the whole season.
