This is uncommon for me. I listened to a cassette tape for the first time ever since having it stashed away since 1991 and found side1mislabeled as side 2 and vise versa, with incorrect track titles and everything. What an oddity and to think it took so long to discover.

By the way the tape was Van Halen For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge and not a pirate copy that I can tell.

Are you sure the little direction button on your Walkman isn't on reverse? :shh:

Ha, no. It wasn't a Walkman, a component without a reverse feature.

I tell you it was bizarre. The first time playing a cassette that happens to have been in my possession for 26 years to find it some kind of manufactured freak.

Although this is WB, I can tell you Columbia was known for this. I've seen plenty of Columbia releases, in different formats, where the jacket says "see label for correct order" or some such, and then even that is wrong. Disconnect between art department and mastering folks, I suppose.

    Cheers,

I have a Jethro Tull album that has the same songs on both sides although the labels are correct. That same album, This Was, also has the inner photo of Beggar's Banquet!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Beat that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can take a tape apart and just reverse the wheels to make this happen.
