a mere shell of what it was, and the offers are no where near as good as they were a year ago.

Agree, offers from the rebooted site seem less enticing...

didn't importcds take it over? so it's simply just another web store/name under their umbrella.

that would be so disappointing. they can't do offers like the label (sony) themselves could do i would think. bummer

I was a bit mistaken. technically DirectToU took over Popmarket. DirectToU runs ImportCDs, Deep Discount and CCMusic/CCVinyl. so that explains being able to buy things they don't actually have in stock because they tend to haphazardly list the item(s) as out of stock or back-ordered.

Yup. There is absolutely no reason to purchase from them anymore.

Blowout Sale although only a few titles are really discounted heavily.

Completely unrelated, but I grabbed the Songs From Frozen LP for $12 shipped to my door, when the usual goes for $20 off of ebay or any other website.

They have a decent deal on the upcoming Beck lp. I'm trying to use the $5 off code they sent me, but it then charges me for shipping...

What's PopMarket's minimum now for free shipping? Is it $25...?

$50, but the daily deal is supposed to ship free.

On their site under the shipping tab, it says free shipping on all orders over $100.00

Using a promo (ie - $5 off) cancels out the free shipping. Makes the promo code rather useless. Makes Popmarket rather useless to me when stuff like this happens.

Got a 15% off code and ordered the Doors Singles set for $105 shipped.

Thought I was done with PM but never say never.

Even though I still receive the Pop Market emails, it seems like they’ve lost the ability to drum up any interest...which is odd since I assume they have access to pitch deals for the same artists as before....

Except before they presumably lost money and went under. The trick is to figure out a way to get our interest without going bankrupt. That might not be so easy.

The NEW15 coupon helps, although I didn't find anything I felt compelled to order.

Neil Young Psychedelic Pill for around $30 is pretty good, but I haven't shopped around. I paid $50 for a used copy when it first came out..
