Probably will just listen to the Sonata and then move on to something else. This is lovely music, though.

I get that....I don't dislike, hate her in any way....but I wouldn't go out of my way to include her interpretations in my collection.

I know! It's pretty cool and I certainly feel very lucky!

I will be going as much as I can, during the week after my bike rides - treating myself with just a few I can carry in my backpack (no more than 10) - ,on the weekend with husband and car.

This Fragonard painting was used as a visual/color reference for the Disney movie Tangled. A representation of it later appears in the Disney movie Frozen. :)

She was excellent in the Spanish repertoire. I have a couple of her Schubert and Schumann recordings on vinyl. She also had excellent Decca sonics on most of her issues. I don't think she was ever considered an A list pianist though. As I mostly listen to solo piano I can't really comment on recordings with orchestra.

This entire disc! I love Mussorgsky's own orchestration of Night on Bald Mountain in Reiner's hands.

My only de Larrocha recording is this one included in the Decca Sound - The Analogue Years box.

The two bonus tracks are Faure: Fantaisie Op. 11 and Franck: Variations Symphoniques which seem out of place on a "Spanish Concertos" album.

It would have made more sense to replicate this CD tracklist.
