Couldn't figure out how to word this in the search engine, so please forgive if there is a thread for this elsewhere on the forum (and please feel free to link me to it if you would be so kind)

I'm wondering since i do get comfortable looking in the same old places if maybe there isn't another option on the internet to find old CD's besides:
    -Amazon
    -eBay
    -Discogs
    -Google Image Search/Google Shopping Search

not looking for a download, looking for discs. Oh, and the disc i'm looking for is on Amazon for $75 is Big Al Anderson & The Balls'-Pawn Shop Guitars

I've found one of the best sources for used CD's are used CD / Record stores that are real physcial stores local to me. I hunt for LP's on an ongoing basis and the places I hit often have as many (if not more) CD's than LP's. Is that an option for where you are located ???

The album is distributed by CD Baby: ♫ Pawn Shop Guitars - Big Al Anderson and the Balls. Listen @cdbaby
The album page no longer lists the CD. Likely all copies have been sold. You could contact CD Baby to see if maybe they still have a copy they can sell. And contact the artist to see if he has any. Other than that, you'll have to find it used or stocked away in some record shop. Maybe find it on eBay.

CD Baby does sell downloads. And the downloads can be lossless FLAC. If you just want the music and want it losselss you can get it that way.

Um, uhh, yuh, that too....will be posting there later, but kind of looking for web sources cause that's just the way the obscure stuff is found now

Yeah, will try that this coming week, there's some Exchanges around here, but more and more i draw blanks from those guys.

Import CD's are a pretty good source, as well as Elusive Disc.
Not sure if they have what you are looking for but worth a try.

Hi Philly, I would say check with small online shops like mine, but it would be way more impactful if I actually had a copy of that Big Al Anderson CD you're looking for in stock...

That's a tough one. I would set up an eBay saved search for it.

I also second Dave's recommendation of Musicstack. There are a lot of great sellers on there. You can set up a notification to watch in case 'Pawn Shop Guitars' gets listed there.

An issue with independent releases through CD Baby or Bandcamp or similar channels is that the CD runs can be small. And once they're gone they're gone. Limited distribution of a small pressing run makes finding a copy all the more unlikely once it goes OOP.

Big Al Anderson was in Nashville when that album was recorded. I'd contact Nashville area record stores that may have a special section for local artists. And hope that the store ordered some copies of that CD and still has a copy in their local artists section.

Other than that, it would be keeping a look out on eBay and Discogs hoping for a copy to show up. A copy just sold on eBay earlier this month for $142.49. But there was also a copy sold on Discogs for $8. Prices can go crazy when a small run CD goes OOP but can eventually settle down. For that CD I'd buy the FLAC download on CD Baby so I'd have the music and then wait for a physical disc to show up on Discogs or eBay at a reasonable price.

Some online shops that I also check when hunting for a used CD are Amoeba and Bull Moose.
