    "Life Is White" is gone.

    Four remain. One must go.

Discussion Question: Again, we have two.

In Round 3 of this game, I asked you guys of what albums you would like me to run a WL games for, given a specific list of albums I gave. However, I realize that was just a selection of titles, so here goes my question:

Are there any particular artists (not on my original list) that you would want to see WL games for? It would be most helpful if you select artists/groups that you think would get a lot of participation.

The Beatles and The Monkees will not be considered, since their entire catalogs have already been run.

(I will have one final follow up question in the final round, where I will finalize/announce my decision.)

And for a more Big Star related question:

How large is your Big Star collection?

    5 Life Is White
6 You Get What You Deserve
    T7 8 What's Going Ahn
    T7 8 I'm In Love With A Girl
    9 Daisy Glaze (Round 2)
    10 Mod Lang (Round 2)
    11 She's A Mover (Round 1)
    12 Morpha Too (Round 1)

Hmm, I'd love to Stones, Van Halen w Roth, Jimi, The Stooges, The Replacements, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd.

Hate to say, but I don't yet own a physical copy of any Big Star release.

This is perhaps the toughest WL thread...
These last songs are comparable to asking what I need the least:
    air, water, food, or light.

Let's go with "Way Out West"

    West to go.

I've been participating in the KISS song by song thread which has been super fun and can't recall seeing any WL for any KISS albums. I would be down for that.

Can't remember seeing any WL for Black Sabbath either - they have a ton of fans here.

Same with the Dead - Workingman's Dead or American Beauty.

A Nick Drake WL would be pretty wild - not sure how many people would throw down but any of his 3 albums would be great choices (in terms of a tough game like this one.)

I have the twofer, the box set, the Ryko third, live at Columbia, and the Ryko live radio thingy whatever the name was and the more recent redbook remaster of Radio City.

I've also run American Beauty and the 1st album. Not Workingman's yet, which is a good choice.

(I promise to stop answering Weakest Link games I've done )

I might have too much Big Star:
    #1 Record/Radio City twofer CD
    #1 Record CD
    Columbia CD
Sister Lovers CD (the old one with the Blue cover)
    Big Star Live CD
    Nobody Can Dance CD
Keep An Eye On The Sky CD box
    In Space CD
    Nothing Can Hurt Me vinyl
    #1 Record vinyl reissue

    Live In Memphis DVD
    #1 Record cassette

After the box set Nothing Can Hurt Me seemed like a bit too much but I have listened to some of Complete Third on Spotify

My only significant Big Star ephemera is a widely-circulated radio interview with Chilton from I guess the mid-90's. I love:

--Always being surprised that Chilton has a major Memphis drawl.

--His approach to the Big Star Reunion: "Well...I told them I didn't have anything else planned for that day...."

--Chilton on substance abuse (paraphrasing here): "Sometimes when you're doing a lot of drugs, you don't realize just how much you have also been drinking ..."

I have #1 Record and Radio City

I'd love to see your version of the WL polls continue the folk rock/power pop/psych pop trend they have been following so far. As others have mentioned, Jefferson Airplane or Love would be good artists to do.

As I started in earlier post I own the 2004 SACD and the 2009 Keep and Eye on the Sky Box Set.

    I also own:
Nothing Can Hurt Me 2013 CD.
Thank You Friends: The Ardent Record Story 2008 CD (This is a various artists CD, but a good portion of the CD is Big Star tracks.)
    Live In Memphis 2014 CD

And if I include other work by members of Big Star:
    Rock City - 2003 CD
    Free Again: The 1970 Sessions

I was actually thinking about a Jefferson Airplane WL game at some point, in particular After Bathing it Bathers. Since you have been running all the JA weakest links, would you like to run it? Or should I run it?

You can run it. I have some ideas in mind that didn't include the Jefferson Airplane. They include some of the bands you included in your round 3 list, but different albums from what you were planning.

I voted for September Girls because I haven't tired of the other 3 yet. It's too hard.

I own all three albums, the "Live at Missouri", "In Space" and the "keep and eye on the sky" box. I thought the "Third" box set was a bit too much to bite on it.

I voted off "O My Soul" but it was close with "Way Out West."

So my selection next time has been made...

I voted out 'way out west' but it was hard. I can't believe O My Soul has so many votes - that's crazy.
