just ordered tickets for the albany, ny show. it's been a while since i saw keb mo and i was thinking he was due. i'd also been wondering about taj mahal since i know he was off the road for a while with health issues. this should be a great combination.

Hope there's plenty of acoustic stuff. I just listened to the new single (band) and a live version of Diving Duck (acoustic). Give me the acoustic any time.

Anyway, it's a great idea. Don't suppose they'll come to Europe?

    Anyone heard the album yet.
I just picked it up this morning and listening in the car as I write this.
    First two tracks are good.
The second..She Knows How To Rock Me, is killer.
Great acoustic tune with great vocals from both Keb and Taj.
I was surprised at all the guest performers on it.
Joe Walsh, Bonnie Raitt, Colin Linden and Sheila E.

Yes, they are. They'll be on the road for a good amount of time, including some Europe dates in July. SEE:

I tried to take a shortcut coming out of the venue and ended up completely lost, in complete darkness.
    I was freaking out.
Finally, fluked my way back to civilization.
    Very scary.

    very easily done.

blossom is in the middle of nowhere, and that is what made it so special i guess, easily accessible from cleveland, akron and youngstown.

i saw a whole lot of concerts there over the years.

they even had a restaurant for a few years where you could go early, park real close, have dinner before the show and get out quickly, avoiding the impossible traffic jam after every show.

Always found Keb very talented if not a bit generic sounding with the originals. But with Taj? Might be something real special. I hear Keb as more of one that makes others sound better.

I enjoyed the venue very much.
I wish I knew about the tragic before I went.

So I posted yesterday that I just bought this CD.
Now that I have listened to the whole album.
    I am disappointed.
Liked the first two songs a lot and was really starting to anticipate a good album.
The rest, except for Diving Duck, is not very inspired.
There is one song that has a great beat but lyrically all they do is name cities.
Two artists that I am a big fan of.....oh well...

I kind of felt the same way. Almost as if they were pressured into doing this before they were really ready. I'm hoping the live shows have a bit more spark.

I saw this tour in June. This is exactly what happened. Taj doesn't have quite the energy he once had, and Keb was able to liven up the show. It helped. They work well together. They had an opening act called Black Pacific, consisting of two of Taj's daughters and one of his sons. They were superb.
