Jealous Guy gets the vote simply because Imagine is such an anthemic, iconic track. Among the most widely known songs of the era.

My final two would be the same.

 

"Jealous Guy" over "Imagine" is both my ideal final and how I think this will ago.

Lucky 7! Looks like the 7th time is the charm for finally eliminating that pesky title track.

My final two would have been Oh Yoko and Jealous Guy.

DQ: was expecting this pair, even if it's not what i would had liked.

Being out for couple of days i've missed two rounds, so i'll post here. Last time listened at least two years ago, stereo version; i also have the quad version and it is the crappiest quad mix ever done at Abbey Road. Every 5.1 remixes is way better than original quad.

 

Voted for Imagine. Jealous Guy is a far superior tune in my opinion. The strings are a bit too lush but otherwise I don't have any complaints against the song.
In that John Lennon movie I pretty much cried during the Jealous Guy part, which begins with Lennon talking to a homeless man who apparently was allowed in. They served him some food too as I recall. Did Lennon allow himself to be accessible like that a lot of the time? Wow. It's a very emotional song made all the more emotional by that particular scene.

I would have picked Jealous Guy and Gimme Some Truth as the top two on this album. I think both are great examples of Lennon's soft and hard sides musically.

dq: I don't know. I've kind of decided I don't really like the concept of weakest links. All the songs on a great album work together.

But if I had to pick the best two songs I guess I'd go with 'Oh My Love' and 'Imagine'.

 

The final two are correct.
