Made In Japan seemed to be on every product in the late 60s and early 70s, much the way everything nowadays is Made In China, and it was a ubiquitous expression. Just watch The Association on the Monterey Pop Outtakes disc to see what I mean.

Someone mentioned Sparks - Gratuitous Sax and Senseless Violins. I don't think I saw any others (I might've missed them), but they've used a few puns for album titles:
    • A Woofer in Tweeter's Clothing (Maybe this isn't technically a pun, though)
    • Kimono My House
    • No.1 in Heaven (this is debatable, but I'm not the first to consider the alternate reading, "No One in Heaven")

Ruth is Stranger Than Richard, overall scans like Truth is Stranger Than Fiction but it's not really a pun.

But agree Wyatt was a master of pun and word play. So many song titles and lyrics.

Henry Cow's first album, The Henry Cow Legend , reveals its pun when you look at the cover, which is an image of a sock. 'Leg end'.

Can someone please explain the pun in 'Kimono My House'? I feel too stupid to get it.

English currency is the pound which is also the name of a measure of weight in some primitive non decimal countries.

A kimono is an article of Japanese clothing and phonetically it sounds like 'come on over to my house' an old Teresa Brewer hit.

Ok, thank-you. Being English, the pound=pound homophone is so familiar to us, I guess I was looking for something else. :)

Thanks – understood the word kimono, and I suspected it was something to do with come over. I just can't make it sound like 'come over' in my mind. As 'kimono my house' makes no real sense anyway, not quite a pun, more word-play. I like it though. :)

Almost every Pet Shop Boys album has a pun as the title such as Please and Behaviour.

Was going to post that btw :p

Serge Gainsbourg loved those puns. There are many more I remember from him like 'Beau oui comme Bowie' and 'Harley Davidson (of a Bitch)'

But these are song titles and no album titles the PO was requesting for. :)

It's a good job you're here. I've had a problem working out that album title for about 40 years.

What about Brain Donor's LP Drain'd Boner? It's not really a pun though...more of a tongue twister. (Oops).
