Damn, sorry to hear about the break in. That is just the worst no matter what they get away with. That set up does look pretty sweet without the TV.
I love my NAD 372. I have one in my family room currently powering a pair of the best sounding small speakers I own... ( Triad Silver Series mini monitors ) with an HSU sub. They are only 4 ohms and a little power hungry. The NAD brings them to life. I also have a Pioneer 9500 II tuner, a NAD 545 cd player and an early 70's belt drive Hitachi TT. It's a nice little system for not a ton of money. Got lucky on the Triads....they list for $2,400 a pair...got em for 20 bucks at a consignment shop.
My room is dark/moody. I like a moody listening area and find too much light distracting. Putting enough light in it for a decent picture exposes it (pun intended) in a way that to me is like turning the lights on inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. No more magic when you can see the vents and fire sprinklers. Anyway, here's a few pics. For perspective, that's a 70" tv. (I posted old pics quite a while ago before the Photobucket debacle) (pioneer as home theater pre-pro - Rotel amp under TV - Sony UHD uni player)
Made a couple of non-gear additions. My wife is an artist and when asked what I wanted for my birthday (last April) I asked for some of her artwork with the McIntosh logo incorporated. As she also works full time, it took a while for her to complete them. She also had them professionally framed and mounted. I got a chance to hang them yesterday.
So, what is the way to post photos now that photo Bucket wants $400.00 to "update". Which I can't do.
This one is out getting restored can't wait to get it back. Will update when I get the system back on order.
