Well this only fits if we consider what is IMO the weakest album of its particular "era" rather than the band's entire career. Things got MUCH worse afterwards - especially towards the end. But for me 'Future Days' is the weakest album Can made while they had a full time dedicated lead vocalist - either Mooney or Suzuki.

I love very album prior to this, but for some reason they start to lose me with this one (its not bad of course but for the era its IMO definitely the weakest - and the first to display cracks in the foundation - but ironically it also happens to contain one of my absolute favorite tracks they ever did "Moonshake". Has to be in my top 5 favorite Can tracks - maybe even in the Top 3.

Emotional Rescue is a dog in my book - but I understand from other threads not everyone agrees - but I think "She's So Cold" is truly great.

"Hold Your Fire" is one of my least-favorite Rush albums, but ...

I think Nocturama is a great album. I know it's considered his worst album but I reckon that's only cos it's an 8/10, not a 9 or 10.

Even though personally I love Street-Legal, I know many people don't rate it at all, so I'll nominate "Changing Of The Guard", which I think is one of Dylan's very best songs.

  11. I know there's no accounting for taste and all, but you don't rate "Tempus Fugit"? That seemed to be the one track on Drama everyone agreed on.

Duran Duran's Liberty is regarded as one of their worst but includes 'My Antarctica', an absolute masterpiece, and 'Serious', one of their strongest singles.

Shot of Love is a long way from being one of Dylan's best albums but Every Grain Of Sand is certainly one of his greatest songs.

Under the Red Sky has some awful tracks, but Born In Time, Unbelievable, Handy Dandy balance it out.

George Harrison's "Living in The Material World" has the sublime "Don't Let Me Wait Too Long". The rest is a religious sleep fest. Same goes for "Extra Texture" with it's only saving grace being "You". The rest is sad and extremely boring but thankfully without much of the religious overtones.
Paul McCartney's "Press To Play" has the brilliant title track as it's only saving grace.
Lennon's "Sometime in New York City" also has it's title track as it's only decent song and his "Walls & Bridges" only has "#9 Dream" as it's only great song. As for Ringo...LOL.

I would put John Lennon's Imagine album in this category. It's got Imagine and Jealous Guy, but once you get past that...

I haven't looked at the thread but I'd suggest listening to the rest of the album. Especially the first side.

AC/DC's For Those About To Rock isn't that great but does contain For Those About To Rock (We Salute You), one of their most iconic songs.
