    Hello all!

I just spent the last hour or two reading through about 50 listings on Discogs until I went blind (I got better...) Anyway, for the life of me I cannot find which pressing I have. I don't have it with me here at home, but I THOUGHT I wrote down all the label and deadwax info, but no, I just can't find it.

Let's see... first it is a gatefold, but does NOT have the rotating wheel. So, I would GUESS that that means it is a later reissue. It is on the Atlantic label and the number on side one is 72005 and on side 2 it is 72006, NO suffixes. On the front label, and I couldn't find a match on any other pressings, it has 'manufactured by Wea records' and the ONE thing that is really mysterious and no other labels I could find had it, was a little rectangular box on the right / middle of the label that says 'essex' in it. That, I would THINK, would be a key since I didn't see it on any other label.

the deadwax is really simple. Side one is STA-72005 and has a '# 1' Side two has STA-72006 and it also has a '# 1'

No other identifiers that I noticed.

So, anyone happen to know which pressing this might be? It sounds pretty good; it sounds better than my generic U.S. pressing. Since it said 'essex' in the little box on the label, I was thinking maybe it was a UK pressing. But, I looked (I think) at EVERY bloody UK pressing on Discogs and none of them had that (not to mention just about every other country!)

Anyway, thanks for any help! :)

It could be an Australian pressing...

Thanks Bro! Yeah, I think I checked Aussie pressings, but by that time I was getting blurred vision and becoming sterile... :nyah:

Nope... I dropped a Viagra and stumbled back to check, but doesn't look like Australia was that enamoured of LZ...

    Thanks though! :tiphat:

Here's an auction listing that has pictures, unlike that discogs entry. Is this the one?

Hey, you found it! :D Yep, I think that I did check a few NZ ones, but by that time my eyes were literally falling out of my skull. WOW! Awesome mate! I could NOT find the runout with the bloody #1 in it! :)

Thank you SO much! I am so glad to have this community to help me with stuff like this [IMG]

My pleasure. This site has help me a thousand times over. This was a case of just going down to the bottom of the discogs list with the "Unknown" dates and poking around. That and a quick check of ebay found the record with Essex on the label, which was the NZ one. :righton:

The SD 7021 is the earlier one. Send the one that sounds worse to your cousin.;)

So neither one is more "valuable" ?considering that they are not the coveted plum uk versions?

Does anyone have pics of the Crowley inscriptions from the UK Plum first pressing?

Didn't those inscriptions stay with subsequent pressings?

Interesting some LPs never had the wheel....... My early 80s press did, as does my Davis.

I'm worried about having a counterfeit version so I need pics. I know what it says. Again, I believe the early presses from the UK have a different script from the US. I hope to see pics of UK. Thanks!
