GREAT great album. Man, I was just thinking yesterday about how good it was and how much of an impact it made on me at the time. I don't have it anymore, I need to pick that up again.

It's such a trip to see how he made that record too, he did it on an 8-track reel to reel! His studio was a hilarious mess, lol...love it.

RIP Rephlex. Best damn record label ever.

Dependent Records Germany (mindbase) issues a series labeled
Dependence 'Next Level Electronics', each contains unreleased mixes, tunes etc..
A great and cheap way to check different label artists.
Includes a slipcase, nice booklet in German and English showcasing the bands etc.

Love electronic music. Electronica is one of the few genres that sounds good to me on CD (give or take). Love Tosca, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Experimental Audio Research, Aphex Twin, COIL, Psychic TV (although they aren't all electronic their acid house stuff is amazing), Hafler Trio, Nurse With Wound, Tim Hecker.

I listen to Jean-Michel Jarre and Daft Punk.
I also have a Rone album on vinyl record.

I don't like the kid drama song in the op, a bit boring to my ears.

Nice ‘Pastafarian’, need to spend some time listening to all your uploads (time permitting).

I have the ambient Sasha cd which is a stark contrast to Airdrawndagger with the unmistakable Robert Fripp inclusion.

I listen to a lot of electronic music.

A few, on cd are audiophile quality.

    Front 242 - Official Version

When it was first released in 1987 it was considered a landmark in sound quality, music, and the amount of difficulty it was to produce those sounds long before computers made everything easier. It's easy to tell why. It has a quality that's more akin to analog than digital gruff.

The Wax Trax! cd uses the same master as the Belgian cd.
Smooth, incredibly dynamic, and songs you can't forget.

The better your system, and the more you turn it up, the more smile on your face.
You can turn this up, and up and it just gets better and better.

Listening to this on the ruthless Celestion SL6i monitors proved it to me.
I recommend headphones or speakers that do details well. Ideally, you want the bass as well.

I can't vouch for the later Epic cd's sound.

This cd can be found cheap, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

I had some Orbital on today too, but it was the full 28 min version of The Box!

I love electronic music, in various forms: ambient, berlin school, bangin' techno, IDM, early trance, dub, etc.

    From Jarre/Tangerine Dream/ Klaus Schulze (back in the day) to Orbital / Orb / Aphex / Autechre / Hawtin / System 7 / Fax / Harthouse / Steve Roach / Robert Rich / Bing Satellites /Shpongle / Sasha / Deadmau5 etc today.

My favourite style would probably be big fat analog sequencers set to stun and let loose for an hour or so. Here's one like that I played twice today walking around town:

Suit & Tie Guy - Sacred Earth 2012 -- a warts-n-all live set, just one block improvising on the knobs but ticks some boxes for me. Meanders around for the first 30 minutes but then the 808s and 909s kick in for the next hour or so. "Name Yer Price" lossless download from Bandcamp.
