Right back to the Rory Gallagher small club show I saw in the mid-70’s. My head and heart were ringing for a week after.

This one I went to - yes it was good! But the one I'd go back and see again would be the Zappa concert on 5/18/73 at Nassau Colisseum on Long Island. The openers were Leo Kottke, followed by Mahavishnu Orchestra. Then Frankie (Set list is here)

    I saw them on January 8th 1970! (Bristol).... I was 15 :)

    Where was the 9th?

Of the gigs I didn't see, maybe the Allmans at the Fillmore, the September 1970 show.

The Doors at the Whiskey A-Go-Go the night Jim broke out "father, yes son" for the first time and got them fired. According to Ray, it was Aug. 21, 1966.

Lots of great shows mentioned. I'd take a different tack and go way back; back to 1436. My first thought was to say the performance of Dufay's Nuper Rosarum Flores for the consecration of Brunelleschi's Florence Cathedral.

I wish I could go back in time to 1939 when my grandmother saw Frank Sinatra at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. She went with a friend and saw both shows that day. She and her friend stayed there in between shows and Frank either sent, or brought sandwiches out to them. I forget which. She also got Frank's autograph, but It was lost in a house fire.

It was fortunate that the day was so dehydrating...coz the old Wembley Stadium toilets were terrible.

Van Halen at the Philadelphia Spectrum on 7/21/1981... I'd even take the 7/20 or 7/22 show if need be.

Interesting, I had a ticket to this show but unforseen circumstances prevented me from attending. I did make it there in 1979 though for Boston, Heart, Van Halen, TKO, Nazareth, and Sammy Hagar. The 78 show had a better lineup.

I saw him two times on 14 street in NYC. 1976 and 1977. Both were excellent shows. :agree:
