What was the first album you ever listened to all the way through? How old were you?

More Of The Monkees was bought by my parents and would be the first. My first purchased was Sgt. Pepper ( 9 yo at the time) soon after joined a record club and ordered LZ 11 ...it was back ordered so they sent me LZ1 in it's place. Never heard it until then....fell in live with it....Awesome!!!!!

Was probably a Beatles album as I recall my dad listening to a lot of Beatles when I was very young. Couldn't tell you what the first one was for the life of me.

Me too, but I was still 11 till July 64.

Wait a minute. It was actually the red Chipmunks album but Meet The Beatles was the first real album.

Sticky Fingers. Must have been 9 or 10. The zipper scandalized my grandmother. I thought the opening line was "Cold ghost space ship or a pot of beans."

In the late 50s, my oldest sister had some lps that I played--at age 2. I don't remember which was first--may have been The Everly Brothers Best or Sam Cooke's Hit Kit. I played both
often , along with her collection of great 50's 45s. (My middle sister also had a lot of 45s.). I guess they share the 'blame' for my music fanaticism.

That I can actually remember? Matchbox Twenty - Yourself Or Someone Like You. On cassette in the year 2000 on my way to Disney World with my dad. I was 10 at the time. I still listen to that album from time to time, listened to it on vinyl a few hours ago.

I think it was either the Doors first album or Led Zeppelin II, because of my older brother. Probably one of those 2 albums probably sometime by the late 70’s.

I had a very cool Dad. It was either the 4th album by Led Zeppelin, or Machine Head by Deep Purple. :D I was maybe 10 years old.

Not counting compilations, the first album I can recall was The Electric Orchestra - Out Of The Blue.
    Around 1981-1982.
A friends big brother had it, we listened to it when he was not home since it was not allowed. Oh, the innocent 80's.
Kinda strikes me how much everything has changed since. Today "everything's free" if you don't consider yourself being the end product.

Sparks "Kimono My House" 1974 - it came out a couple of weeks after my 11th birthday. I had a little cassette player, and I purchased the cassette version with some birthday money.
