That mix variation is just for Lizard, though, not the other albums, and it wasn't announced in the official tracklisting nor is it printed on the box, so it may have been a very late-in-the-game addition. I'm pretty sure everything from the 40th Anniversary DVD-Audio discs has been ported over to the three new studio album Blu-rays, though I don't have them to check for sure

I just took the shrink wrap off of my copy of this thing. Starting with rips of the blu-rays of the studio albums and attendant material (enjoyed Jakko's vocal take on "Islands," personally). Just trying to get into the mood and then I'll dive into the live material. This is the first box released when I had some free time to really dig into the material on offer, so I'd like to live in hope that it'll get more undivided attention at once than the prior releases.

With this and previous boxes I find it's possible to handle about one disc in a day maximum so that's a whole month of entertainment in one release for me!

Got mine today from UK. Was supposed to be next Tuesday but this is great. Uncorked it to make sure not all mangled from Amazon's usual bad packaging. Dig this. My wife ordered a pair of earrings that came in a box half this size!

I'll rip all of this next week to file. Mucho work on this baby.

I thought we were talking about Lizard? In which case the box is missing the 2009 "Wilson+Fripp" re-mix of Lizard on the DVD-A. It has an alternate re-mix, right?

The Blu-ray has both stereo re-mixes, with and without Fripp's additional work. Plus the 5.1, plus the 30th Anniversary remaster, plus a needledrop, plus innumerable outtakes and alternative mixes and live versions — couldn't ask for more, really

The box does include an alternative re-mix (it's called the wilson flat and this is what Wilson did before Fripp requested some changes). But the box also includes exactly the same 2009 mix as on the DVD-Audio (ie the new stereo mix after the changes wanted by Fripp were done).

I think the Pictures of a City rehearsal take and maybe a couple of other things from the old DVD-A were not included on the Blu-ray or anywhere else in the box.

Not aware of any defective discs in that box. Disc 23 in the Starless box was bad.

Although we heard it all before, Marquee 1971 is definitely a highlight. LTIA & Lament improv with Mel & Fripp going crazy!

I'm glad I have this even though this is my least favorite era of Crimson. DGM/Panegyric really do a fantastic job with these sets, which makes me hope for a Double Duo set even more.

I just don't think I'll ever like Boz. By far the worst singer in Crimson's history.

I am surprised based on the praise, that 1971-05-22 Town Hall Birmingham is not in the set. Is this the only SB-Cassette not included or am I missing others? navigating the Krim site is confusing.

On another note I just finished ripping all 27 discs. Monday its on to the BluRay...

I went straight to the blows on disc 25 and Boz is revealing himself to be a far more accomplished improvising bass player than I've heard on the four 1971-early 1972 releases I had prior to this box being released. The audition material is a fine addition to this set.

So that make 5 soundboards unique to the box set, and one soundboard not included on the set for some odd reason. That leaves 15 Audience shows not on the set. So 16 live shows in existence not included if one wants it all.

Good to hear! As I won't be able to buy the box yet (but ASAP), I am dying to hear more about these rehearsal "blows." That would be the first thing I'd go to. 90% of my KC enjoyment comes from improvs, and I put rehearsals/jams into that category.

I haven't compared myself but going by the set list I'd bet the Glasgow show on the BR is the same recording as the Birmingham download.

Interesting theory! I will check this out later when I get home tonight. This would make more sense.
