New Mobile Fidelity titles in latest Music Direct catalog*

Good question, with no answer.

The last two mono titles on vinyl were Bringing It All Back Home, and Highway 61 Revisited in December 2016.
That leaves the mono versions of the debut Bob Dylan, The Freewhellin' Bob Dylan, and Another Side of Bob Dylan M.I.A at this time.

 

If you're able to compare it with the original CD, I'd appreciate your thoughts!

 

While the odds are improbable, if MFSL (Music Direct) releases all of their 2017 titles that I preordered on the default date 12-31-2017 - my Visa Card used to preorder would suffer cardiac arrest. The irony of that is beyond words.

I finally got around to putting this on. I broke my own rules and didn’t bother cleaning first. For me versus the scratchy original this is beautiful beautiful beautiful. Absolutely canes the original on my setup.

I am very happy to welcome this into my collection.

 

That’s great! I don’t have an original, nor do I want to buy one. I don’t have much luck with vinyl from Atlantic Records.

Some times it's the other way around.

The James Gang Rides Again SACD has been available since this spring but the vinyl has yet to be released.

 

Anyone know when the 2018 catalog will drop ?

 

I think its out there - I haven't seen a copy yet but have seen a few posts about it. If anyone who does have a copy feels like posting what new MFSL LPs and CDS are coming that would be much appreciated.

I think Mobile Fidelity should not be allowed to announce any upcoming releases or issue catalogs until they release everything they have said they were going to release!

Let’s go back the OP posted just over 1 year ago. “Dire Straits 4 New titles” all still pre-order (Richard Thompson fans can vent in your own post ). Based on this forum alone there should have been enough pre-orders to get these done. Even if there is just a PSA that “we ran into some diffilculties with these recordings and they will be delayed several months” I think would take 5 min and be more customer friendly. If I missed something like that please let me know. Thought everything was about “client experience” nowadays but apparently not with MOFI.

 

Isn't it time to post a 2018 MFSL thread? I understand the 2018 catalogue is out; I don't have one (they seem to be restricted to the US), so I won't, but maybe someone else can.

 

Me too, I am waiting for the Richard Thompson and Rickie Lee Jones! Would like to buy a couple Dire Straits discs too. Every time they release a new disc I get my hopes up but it seems to be endless Bob Dylan titles, many just a different mix of an album they already recently released!

 

Exactly. I've had RT's 'Rumor and Sigh' SACD on pre-order for a year now. All you get re. release date is 'TBA'. Arrggghhhhhh !
