ARE commercials quieter?

The commercials for Comcast are ear-splittingly loud. Yes, Comcast, give me yet another reason to hate you.

 

OK, my wife similar, but from the kitchen. "Turn it down! It's too loud!"

 

It would take Scheherazade to recount them all...

 

To which you'd probably shoot back, "I didn't turn it up-- it's those dadgum commercials!"

 

Adverts are not the boss of me. Anything we really want to watch, we'll Sky+. The fast-forward button = best invention ever!
The whole thing is ludicrous. Who actually chooses to watch adverts? If companies want me to watch their commercials, they should pay me!
Making them as loud as possible just alienates the audience. Does anyone respond well to being shouted at? These people are as thick as mince.

And in the meantime, I'll continue to binge on Netflix.

 

I agree. I no longer find myself noticing an increase in volume and can't remember when I last adjusted the volume during commercial breaks.

 

I remember back in the late 70's or so when cable TV first became available in south Florida, they advertised cable as commercial free TV! Ha! that only lasted for a few months.
Just like government, once they get their foot in your door, you're screwed!

 

All in all, just more reason to not feel guilty every time I hit *skip*skip*skip*skip*skip*....

 

Oh wait, were you serious?!? That would make zero difference!

 

It may not, but you've gotta have some kind of a scapegoat!
