Only major stateside hit but as far as the west coast goes, Fly At Night and I Believe were played a lot on the stations I listened to so they did have some moderate success outside of that tune .

I actually liked the Hooked On Classics medley. Like those Jive Bunny medleys, it made for some overstimulating listening.

This was by far the highlight on Rod’s Tonight I’m Yours album, which wasn’t one of his best. These were the bleached blond, spandex years.. I don’t think it was his finest hour.:D

I think this chart has a pretty solid top 5. Aside from perhaps the Commodores, all those songs are still well-known today. Nice to see Hall & Oates approaching their career peak. I Can’t Go For That would knock Physical off the top spot a few weeks later.

I had to change my vote and add the Commodores—at first I was thinking of another song. But ‘Oh No’ is just heart-wrenching—anyone else remember this from the movie “Last American Virgin”? I voted for 12 songs overall.

The Hall & Oates tunes are tops but Rod, Olivia, Earth Wind & Fire and The Go-go's all have great tunes as well. All those and my obligatory vote for Ms. Ross.

Obviously, I just love the tune. At least Rod was cool in the video.

I still hear 'Oh No' played locally every now and then (great song :)). I'm actually surprised Foreigner's 'Waiting' did so well. Cool Night should of been up there!

Young Turks was definitely the highlight but I also love the title track. It made it to the top 20 as the second single from the album but has pretty much been forgotten.

Terrible week, voted for the GoGos, Lindsay B. , the Police, and J. Geils. The only one I keep on my iPod is Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.

Stuck at #2 behind "Physical" for several weeks, never made #1.

Paul Davis as an artist and songwriter was kind of under appreciated. I think his song catalog is excellent, and really worthy of higher mainstream success!

Paul Davis is a "song here a song there" artist for me. That being said, "Cool Night" is a fantastic pop single that brings takes me back to my childhood.

Most of the stuff at the top is just terrible IMO, it doesn't start getting decent until #12 with Trouble, and then after that I like #13. I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do), #17. The Sweetest Thing, #21. Cool Night and the really fantastic and long forgotten My Girl (Gone,Gone, Gone) at #22 by Chilliwack (surprised that made the top 25).

Fantastic time for pop/rock singles. I chose just over half of the list.

Lindsey Buckingham's "Trouble" is a sleeper I forget about sometimes.

Only two for me: "Trouble" and "Our Lips Are Sealed". "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" is close, but I guess I don't like it enough to choose it.

First thing that came to mind when I started reading through this thread! I just watched many of my SCTV DVDs recently. Also, for our non-US/Canada viewers, the SCTV cast also came up with a brilliant punk song. One of Martin Short's finest moments!

Trouble would have made a great FM song and would have easily fit on Mirage.
