Songs with a moody feel that drag you in everytime

I'm not a big 'sad song' fan.... but THIS ONE.......
kills me every time!

 

I first heard "Morning Song" by Pearls Before Swine in the early 90s and really dug the sinister moody vibe!

Great choice, pretty much my favorite from ATMP.

 

The quintessential manic depressive song IMHO is Obscurity Knocks by the Trash Can Sinatras:

The opening flugelhorn notes will immediately draw you in, and it just gets more beautiful and heartbreaking from there. The title is a wartime acronym for "Be upstairs ready, my angel."
