So, we'll get the The Perfect Stranger project/object and the Yellow Shark DVD before "Bognor Regis"?

Thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to this. I am digging the Halloween 77 shows. Just wish all those were on CD as well. The USB sucks!

I bet we'll get 'The Perfect Stranger' on BluRay with the 84 original mix, the 91 remix and a new 7.1 mix, packaged alongside (for the first time ever!) the album also on 8-track and cassette, before 'Bognor Regis.'

How so? I mean, there might always come a point in the future when I pull it off the shelf to play it and find it's no longer operational and I'll agree with you but, at the moment (anyway), it seems pretty cool to me. I don't like the way it's packaged, but the stick itself sounds pretty great. Plug it in, hit "play" and I don't have to get up from the couch for half a day!

One of my very dear friends just pre-ordered Zappa Roxy box as my Christmas present.
He is a very dear friend for a very good reason.

"First time ever" referring only to the 8-track, yes?

There was a cassette of the 80's Angel version too.

Don't think I ever saw either of those cassettes up here in Canada! Of course, to be fair, I wasn't exactly spending a lot of time in the cassette section of my local stores checking out the new releases.

Well, this news leaves me with four questions.

    When to bend over?
    How far to bend over?
When we bend, do we spread?
    Who's got the Crisco?

You should still get it. It has stuff recorded after the Roxy shows and is a Zappa classic, imo.

The Barking Pumpkin release was part of Zappa.com's "Cassettulent Frenzy" for years. They couldn't give the cassette away.

    So hyped!

Anyone notice in the press release that the first sentence says, "Fourty three years ago in December 1973 ..."

So sad that can neither spell nor subtract.

    But really, so hyped!

I also think the overdubs on the Roxy material were nicely done. Always enjoy the multi-tracked Napoleon vocals on "Village Of The Sun."
