^^^I am so out of it, I don't know what Ppp means but can only assume a good thing!!^^^ Thanks Manimal!
Here goes again, I guess photobucket wasn't letting me upload. I added a early 2000s Rega Planar turntable.
Gear overload!! I've been putting together a new main system the last couple months (posted some pic of the McIntosh pre and amp a few pages back). So here it all is. McIntosh C28, MC2505, Klipsch Quartet and last but not least Rega P6, Ania cart, NOE/PSU and Rega preamp they say is a good match for the Ania. I have read threads where Rega turntables with MC having a hum. I'm very happy to report that I have no hum at all only sweet music. This setup is very nice sounding right out of the box and I'm sure it will only get better as it breaks in. The Rega arrived at my work Friday before noon. Out of the box and ready to spin some tunes. NEO on bottom and Preamp on top. With dust cover and with out. The finish is fantastic! Love it so far!!
Second part........ Gear overload!! So I'm getting ready to head home Friday and my tech calls and said your Fisher 500B is ready to be picked up. I picked my Fisher up at a garage sale a few years back for $50.00 but it needed to be restored. My tech went through and found most of the tubes were bad along with the output tubes..... sad just sad. He brought everything back to where it needed to be. We talked about what to get for output tubes and decided on Tung-Sol 7591A. I read some very good reviews on these tubes and I must say after listing to my Fisher for 4 hours last night they are indeed sweet! These were on the power cord. I'm sure it is the original cord. My fisher is in the living room as 2nd system. This is one sweet sounding amp for only 30 watts.
A little more than 2 years. It was my first Rega. I recently added the Neo PSU for speed stability. I’ve been well pleased with it for a second system.
The table this one replaced was a RP3. Bought the NEO PSU about six months after (didn't come with). What a change in the way is sounded. I was getting ready to do more upgrades when the P6 came out. Now I can move the RP3 to the 2nd system in the living room. My brother has my RP1 and it is still going strong.
Upgraded the speakers last week. Quite a difference. I might need a little more amp in the future...but that will have to wait a bit.
Thanks man! Simple set-up: VPI Scout/Ortofon 2M black, Rogue Audio Sphinx, and Philharmonic Audio BMR Philharmonitors
I'd like to see another picture of your listening room, this time from under the sectional couches through the table legs.
Very nice looking system good looking upgrade too. Looks like a ikea light next to the turntable I have one just like it.
Off topic I know but since the death of Photobucket as a viable photo sharing device, I can't find an app to allow me to share on here - I get a broken image URL every time. Any clues?
Yeah, it's cool when the history survives. I also have the original sales receipt for my TD-124. $148.70 with base and Grado Lab Series arm! (I wonder which Garrard turntable was traded in?)
It seems like I'm a luddite but a number of photosharing apps just threw up errors when I shared anything! I'm back in the game!
