Not to go into politics, but I don't think you will - at least no cherry picking The mood on the Continent is not as anglophile as it once may have been. Well, according to government sources a few years ago it was raised to 240V. Anyway, 230 or 240, it doesn't make any difference for me
I thought some folks here would enjoy this - the program from the concert Mahler conducted with the New York Philharmonic with Rachmaninoff playing his new 3rd piano concerto: New York Philharmonic: Viewer
Indeed and that mood swing is a real shame. Not to go into politics of course, but only an idiot would have expected to go cherry picking in the current climate. I will always identify as being British and European, as will millions of others.
Visitors to the UK are always puzzled (and annoyed), as to why there are no power outlets in the bathrooms. This stuff can KILL you! It does not mix too well with water. And I can testify having had my arm `numbed` a few times by touching the wrong wire, that it is powerful stuff.
From the Rubinstein Complete Album box set: I love chamber music like this on a Sunday afternoon. Very good mono sound
You’ve reminded me that I haven’t taken “The Big Pink Box” off of the shelf in a while. I need to rectify that!

To us American: Brussels = Washington DC and I have no love for DC or any bureaucrats - end of my two cents ...
Hah! Had not thought of that, but I know the scene. The priest arrives outside the house, standing under a street light in silhouette against fog. Yes, fog is very prevalent in horror films. As it was 2:00 a.m. and the world around me seemed to be asleep, I suppose it could be creepy, but it wasn’t. Listening to Holst took my mind in a whole different direction—and it wasn’t “outer space,” which is the usual association, but this time it was a connection to nature. It’s one of the reasons I placed my music room on the 2nd floor in a large room with many windows—so that while I’m listening to music, I can look out at the sky, moving clouds, sunrises/sunsets, storms, snow, birds in flight, autumn leaves, the moon, etc. Sometimes I pick music to fit the scene.
