john lennonist There ONCE was a NOTE, PURE and EASY...

I went with NSU... I Feel Free is the runner up.

I have a great-sounding UK 45 single with those songs, but they may be edited in length.

They aren't edited and you're right, that 45 on Reaction sounds fantastic.

I can't vote for I Feel Free because it wasn't on the UK album that I grew up with.
Very difficult to choose a favourite from all the others but I've been the first to go for Dreaming

Good pick, I occasionally hear this album mentioned as psychedelic, and I totally disagree for everything other than this song which resembles it. Great song.

Although "I Feel Free" is probably my favourit, to me it is a stand alone single. My second favourite might be "Spoonful". But because both of those are absent from one version or the other, I went for a song that is on both, "Sweet Wine", nice to give Ginger some props for his effort. ("Sleepy Time Time" was also a candidate I considered.)

While I like the songs and the general psychedelic style of Disraeli Gears and Wheels Of Fire better, I agree this is absolutely their best sounding album, probably because it is more of a live recording than the layered and processed sound on the others.

I was already familiar with Clapton's voice from his later solo recordings when I came to Cream, so I think I understood who was who from the start (and love Jack's vocals). The only song I wasn't sure about was "Strange Brew" because of the falsetto (but I guess I figured it out once I started reading the composer credits).

I just happen to be listening to this one this week (the recent 4 disc set).

"Sweet Wine" is an easy choice.

So many good cuts on here--I could've picked "NSU", "Sleepy Time Time", "Dreaming", "Spoonful" or "I'm So Glad", but of course went with "I Feel Free".

I'm used to the CD version I grew up listening to that had "The Coffee Song" and "Wrapping Paper" on it. I take it these were not on the original UK release?

I’ve only seen this listed on a boxset and wiki doesn’t list it so that’s interesting. Do you know which version it was?
I personally think both songs are terrible. Where would you stand on them?

Well it was an 1990’s album club version on CD, where they tacked both songs on at the end of the album:

    Title: Fresh Cream
    Artist: Cream (2)
    Discogs Link:
    Cream (2) - Fresh Cream

As songs, I think they’re passable and charming, but not my favorites by any means. I am used to hearing them on there by now by a lot.

I voted for I'm So Glad. Our U.S. version didn't have Spoonful.

Chose "Sweet wine", could of easily went "N.S.U."...
I tend to not think of "I feel free" as part of Fresh Cream.

I can't really choose, but voted for "Sweet Wine" for the astonishing solo with its combination of rhythm guitar, hard-nosed lead & wailing feedback track.
