Bands you love that have one song you can't stand

Same goes for "Wild Honey Pie" or "Mother Nature's son"

 

I have to second this - I can't stand LZ doing faux reggae.

 

Lynyrd Skynyrd - If I never hear "Sweet Home Alabama" again, it will be too soon.

 

AC/DC - "You Shook Me All Night Long" has been ruined for me by classic rock radio. I don't hate the song, but I can't listen to it anymore.

 

Foreigner's "Hot Blooded". I find the lyrics juvenile to the extreme.

 

Kiss...Rock N Roll All Nite

Had enough of this song to last me a lifetime and probably then some.

 

Rush - Dog Years. Madrigal is close, but at least the lyrics aren't that bad and it fits in with the pastoral tone of A Farewell to Kings.

OK I can't resist. I love Simple Mind's New Gold Dream. What an album ahead of it's time. Developing from rock/indie more towards synth... but the commercial sounding Promised You a Miracle I can't this day swallow. But I admit it's well done (for the souls liking it).

 

The Cult's cover of Born To Be Wild

 

Allman Brothers Band- "Whipping Post'
Lynyrd Skynyrd- "Free Bird"
Creedence Clearwater Revival- "Ramble Tamble"

All three bands are easily in my Top 10, been there for decades.

Still, endless noodling isn't my thing.

 

Led zeppelin - the crunge

 

Love the Rolling Stones, and they have several that I really dislike, but "Sex Drive" is especially atrocious.

Not a band, but Joan Osborne - One of Us. And that stupid song is what she's known for.

 

That's one of my favorite Zeppelin songs. Its just so weird. I love it!

She's done much better.

 

I know they did the song to give bonham something to funk out to, but it should have been an instrumental ... houses of the holy has some great songs but awful vocal effects .. to my ears

I can never understand this argument...

 

It seemed more profound when it was first released...especially after about 250 micrograms of something.

 

It's just too weird and ridicilous (not in a good way either).

 

It was meant to evoke a bad trip experience. I think it succeeds in doing that...but who wants a bad trip?

 

When I was a teen my friend told me that his girlfriend requested this song play every time they made whoopee. I could never listen to it again after that.

Houses of the Holy has two songs I absolutely can't stand - Dyer Maker and The Crunge. This is why it is not one of my favorite LZ albums.
