I agree, except for all the situational stuff - sitting at the organ, microphone, coke bottle, etc.

yeah, good point. Looking at the fine detail, I missed the glaringly obvious.

Two funny things about that I read recently - the authorities completely missed a brick of weed that was in a cardboard box, either on top of the fridge or in a cabinet or something like that.

Then, Harry Shearer (aka Derek Smalls, Mr. Burns, etc.) who was buddies with GD manager Danny Rifkin (behind Weir on the steps,) helped the band write their public statement on the arrest.

It's a photo from Annie Liebovitz. There is another one of Jerry, same shirt, driving a car and I'm pretty sure I first saw it in Rolling Stone tribute book they did after his death. And if I remember correctly the diner was in Stinson Beach, or nearby, but I can't remember for sure.

Yes someone was very helpful in identifying Annie Liebovitz - first (only?) appeared in RECORD Vol. 1 No. 8. I think so far we've narrowed it down to 1971, perhaps an IHOP near Fillmore East? This is the first I'm hearing about Stinson though looking at the below, you're right - same shirt and likely the same shoot. Hmmm

I guess Jerry briefly experimented with looking like a dork bandito!
