i purchased the vinyl from amazon.does anyone know if it comes with a d/l?

 

Don't know the history of the Roxy, just that it was the first bookings the club ever had and when Neil asked for a woman to come on stage topless, his wife obliged.

 

Is any track from this release available via streaming?

Also, Amazon lists the release date as 4/24--which is Tuesday. I thought Friday was now the day for new releases, so do they mean 4/27?

it's PSA disc 05, as mentioned on the NYA site.

i predict there's a logo on the cd release. we will see soon!

 

Played first two sides. Wow this is great. I haven’t bought his new music for ages( previewing it online it has done little for me)
But THT was always one of my fave Neil records and I played the snot out of it when it came out in 75. Of all his performance series releases this is the best of the lot to me and I haven’t even played side 3 yet.

The performance /vibe/ Neil’s chatting and the sound is A+ . They sound like they are in your lap. It does claim to be sourced from analog masters. Whether there is a digital step in the middle hard to say. But this sounds so cool I don’t care. Cut by Bellman.

 

Considering CB himself confirmed it was AAA one page earlier I’d say this is case-closed.

After reading these recent posts I am so looking forward to the CD version on Friday (UK release date). What a treat, especially after the excellent Paradox album last week.

 

thanks for the reply.hopefully it will up on spotify so i can listen in car. but am glad to hear that it was sourced from original analogue tapes etc. looking forward to hearing it.

 

How are people finding the music itself? Sufficient difference from album versions to have longevity?

This is of the best RSD titles I got and one of the best sounding and performance vinyl I have by Neil! He was ripped as hell and enjoying every bit of this magical show! No way was digital used in this process, once you hear it, you know it big time. Awesome release from my favorite era of NY!!!

 

Keep in mind, "sourced from" and "cut from" are two different things. Analog tapes can be used to source a digital mastering. AAA implies it was cut from analog tapes.

 

So if this is PRS05 and Massey Hall is PRS03......what is PRS04?

 

i thought roxy was disc 04? that's what it says on NYA site.

05 makes more sense!!! that should mean that a time fades away 2 is disc 04.
