I've sold a few so far.....the customer's that purchased them are really enjoying them.

If you have a Rega table, and are looking to get into the MC side, I think it's a great choice/no brainer.

Couple questions for Rega Ania owners. I auditioned a P6/Ania/Fono MC combo yesterday and I was more impressed than I was expecting to be. My questions relate to total cost of ownership.
Does anyone have any ideas on expected stylus life and/or trade-in, re-tip, rebuild cost of the Ania. As much as I love the combo, if I'm looking at $800/year(ish) on carts, that has to be part of the consideration. Did some searching and I haven't found these details as quickly as I'd hoped to.

    Appreciate any info!

You can make contact with The Sound Organization which just happens to be down there in Texas where you are, they might be able to enlighten you about re tipping. I've wondered about this myself since they offer it in England for about 250 pounds which I think is about 50% of the new cost of the cartridge there.

Did you audition this combo at Audio Concepts? They’re as good a resource for Rega questions as I can imagine.

£500 cartridge should do 1000 hours which is about 3 to 4 years. Likely a trade in discount so probably will cost no more than £100 a year to run.

That's exactly where I went! Really impressive store. I figured I'd email them as well, but I have a couple other tables to audition before I make a decision. I figured I'd check here before taking up any more of their time.

Thank you. I assumed that it would still be 1000 hours, but I found it odd that it wasn't listed anywhere.

That’s where some of my system came from. They seem very accommodating and thoughtful about their recommendations, even regarding the equipment I bought elsewhere.

I've already got a Sutherland 20/20, so I think I'm good in the phonostage department.

The Ania works very well with Sutherland. I would go 64 db gain, and 100 ohm load with the 20/20. The P6 is sensitive to what it sits on. If your cabinet is pretty heavy, invest in the Quadraspire stage shelf. It is 200 bucks and has the same distributor as Rega.

I remember reading in a couple of places that it was £250 for a retip. I’ve been working away for the last couple of months and got back yesterday, settled in for an evenings listening and soon realised how good my system sounds!
