    I agree!

Actually, what I meant was where will all the dividing and hostility end? I don't see things getting better, I see things as getting crazier. Men aren't going to stop treating women like their toys.

This thread has just gone into a bad place. I wonder if they are purposely trying to get it closed.

Of course they are...if you can't win the argument get it shut down. Its fate is probably the same as most rap threads here.

Why so defensive? I didn't take a stance on MGTOW either way, and in fact stated that I am not one myself. Just saying that it exists at the moment and is increasingly a 'thing'. This is fact. Also, that I understand aspects of it, specifically wanting to protect oneself (as admittedly drastic a step as it is).

I don't understand why some men can't get or keep a woman?

If they could articulate an explaination for their opinion, it would help, but, no, they want to do drive-bys and stir up s&^#.

Until the day comes when the PC movement targets that as well and all authors with any allegation of any wrongdoing will be automatically convicted in the court of public opinion and libraries and book stores will shed any of those works. :D

I'm writing that in jest but boy, is this a weird world we live in, now.

You can protect yourself without going down that path or supporting it. But hey if you "understand aspects of it" that's your right. Just don't pretend it's the only way to protect your "money and reputation".

It's been a while, but this is one, and I read something else recently, though I can't yet find it.

I never did so I'd appreciate the word "some" prefacing "men" in that sentence. ;)

As for dividing and hostility, that isn't likely to stop. Since it's near impossible for most to respect a person's opinion if it differs from their own, insults are thrown and the divisiveness is reinforced.

Here's a quick example. Start a thread about how the Godfather sucks and see what happens. It's just a movie, yet some people will throw insults around and be quite pushy and aggressive with their opinions, going as far as stating anybody who doesn't agree with them is stupid. Now, imagine discussing an actual serious topic.

That attitude isn't likely to change.

Lastly, let's not act as though no woman has ever done anybody wrong, either. You have a tendency to insinuate the whole gender is beyond reproach.

I honestly don't understand why you seem so emotionally invested in regards to MGTOW. In fact, theoretically it should benefit you in regards to more single women to choose from. I mean these men are no harm to women (or you) if they, by definition, go their own way.

Personally, I look at what they do and some of it makes sense to me (protecting your reputation & financial assets), while other aspects I could never do (not wanting to be in relationships with a woman).

Well, one way to instant fame is being slammed inthe witch hunt. Now if I can just get Jessica Chastain, Rashida Jones, and Jennifer Lawrence to talk about all those times I sexually propositioned them inappropriately -- while they were on on blu ray.

I never treated women that way either. Protest gracefully acknowledged.

Sad, but true. Seems a lot of people are happy to live in a bubble. They reject anything that differs from their own opinion. All of us are guilty to some degree on this.

Oh yeah! We see it every day, especially with the forbidden topics! That's why they're forbidden!

That's what I meant. A lot of people just double down. How dare anyone challenge their beliefs!

I did no such thing! If you read my posts, you will see that. Just two days ago, I saw where some girl falsely accused two football players of raping her so she would get the sympathy of a guy she was interested in. She probably didn't want to admit that the sexual activity was consensual, lest she scare the guy off.

Funny choice of words. Trudeau portrayed him as Der Gropenfuerer when he was governor of California, so it's not like these allegations would be new.

How are my words funny? I simply asked a question. To Schwarzenegger's credit, he has come out strong in support of the woman.

You made an unintentional play on words when you said Schwarzenegger has been "fingered".

Dykstra's latest squeeze actor Robert Kazinsky weighed in on social media defending her allegations and specifically naming Hardwicke so I looked him up since I didn't know him. Seems like he's embroiled in his own sex scandals or was.

Well, the upside is that with a name like Chris Hardwick, he can always do porn.

I’ve long thought of Chris Hardwick as an over caffeinated D-bag, so almost any excuse to have less exposure to him is A-OK with me! :)

I honestly haven't paid much attention to anything he's done recently (Well, until this thread). I know he had a Comedy Central show a few years back. However, I mostly remember him from a MTV show he was on back in the mid-'90s called 'Singled Out'.

The upside, I don't have to stay up for "Talking PREACHER" this Sunday.
