My wife said that our bedroom was starting to look like a 70's dorm room so she got me a proper turntable stand

I cleared out, cleaned up, shortened signal paths, just bent some things and brought out the trash.

    Now I feel better.

Probably not a good idea to stack components one atop the other like you have there..

I was asked by my sister to put a hifi system together for her, the budget was around £400 and this had to include a turntable, amplifier, speakers and cables. Quite a challenge, so I did a series of videos explaining the process of piecing together a hifi system. Most of the budget went on a new Rega P1 turntable, I then bought a used Marantz PM55SE amplifier and used the built in phono stage, the speakers I bought were a used pair of Q Acoustics 2010i. With the associated cables it came in just over the £400 budget. They have since bought Atacama Speaker Stands for £30 and a Atacama hifi rack for £40.

Here is a link to a video about the system.

And here is a photo of their system

Have some Audio Note AN-E SPE-HEs coming in to challenge these Devores and then I'm currently piecing together a Garrard 301 - that should be done in a month or two.

Very nice. How do you feel the 10watts from the Oto handle the O/93s?

Amazingly. I thought I might notice a drop off coming from the Line Magnetic 508, but the Oto Signature handles the low end even better, with much more pleasing upper mids and highs. It’s exactly what I was hoping it’d be when I made the switch.
