    ...vanity project.

After his Hollywood film he should conclude with Kill Bill III, or the Vagas brothers, although both Travolta/Madsen are pretty old now.

Just give up the ten movie thing. We should rate his ten movies before the brutal SHF panel. He'd take one look at his score and agree to another six.

    Death Proof
And he says it's in is cannon, he must be joking.
    Four Rooms
ok ..his segment was the best, but bore fest non the less.
    Inglorious Basterds
Watched it again after years last week, but gave up at the Waltz/pipe farmhouse scene ..too long arthouse, joke amusing the first time, 2009.

    Oh ..not forgetting Django Unchained

Always find it funny when people apply the term "self-indulgent" to any art as a criticism. Of course it is if you are creating something, that's what makes it yours. The term might apply in academia or reviews or non-fiction, or making commercials or working on someone's behalf.

But not in film or music or painting or any art. Of course by nature it is self-indulgent. I suppose you could take the view that from a studio or a label angle that one is being self indulgent. But that is the death of art, or at least the artist. The suits dont care about art and they will limit as much creativity that steps outside their comfort zone as they can.

Quentin Tarantino will be remembered as as nineties director, that was his decade.

I bet they have to spend MILLIONS on the music. Hey, why not: look at the time period!! I hope there's a scene were they visit the Whiskey A-Go-Go.... I'd sure put one in!

The whiskey a go go always opened every day /week.,but it closed August / September for two months. Wonder if that was because of the Tate murders, scary times ... strange it closed, opened October 1969.

He always puts out kick ass soundtrack (reportedly ripped from his own vinyl. Can anyone confirm this?) so they will at least recoup some of that money. I know I own every QT soundtrack and beyond! (fan compilations).

Incredible scene -- but then what? Silliness with Brad Pitt. A REPEAT of the same scene in the club? The movie just sits, there's no sense of movement at all. That movie is just a hot mess to me... I walked out of it halfway, the first time I watched it.

I live in California now, and every time I meet an old rock and roller boasting about all the 60s concerts they went to, I ask if they ever saw the Doors and, sadly, no one I've talked to ever has!

My 70s year old friend claims that their reputation grew over time and they weren't that big of a deal when he was growing up. But I find that hard to believe, I thought Jim was a megastar.

The Reservoir Dogs soundtrack blasted in my car endlessly as a cruised Sunset Blvd feeling like a badass, back then. And (I'll admit) still occasionally today!

It's a toss up to me which director has better soundtracks, David Lynch or Tarantino. Both of them put out killer soundtracks.

Know one knew about the VU or Love ( popularity wise) for that matter. But the Doors had lots of hit singles, gold albums. I would have thought the biggest US rock act 1967-1970.

Sorry, but SAMUEL L. is my main draw to ANY QT movie! More than Travolta, Jackson help make QT who he is today.
