    Actually it was 'Slowhand'.

No, they normally come out late November and should at least wait until leaves are turning before announcing.

Sure Eric is dreaming of a White Christmas.

Actually adm62 is correct that Christmas albums DO get released in October (or even late-September) -- generally the stores don't have them in-stock or available to purchase until much later.

I'm not sure what to do. Should I wait and hear the album before deciding if I think it has any merit, or dismiss it out of hand right now?

Do you like Christmas albums? Are you a fan of that kind of shopping mall muzak? Do you like the idea of Clapton crooning out some cheese? If you've answered no to these questions then feel free to dismiss this upcoming release out of hand...

Yeah, I don't need to hear a Taylor Swift album to know I won't enjoy it.

I’ll be picking this up and adding it to my Christmas albums collection. My family and I love the holidays!

You haters need Christmas in the heart! ;)

The very thought of a Christmas album collection sends shivers down my spine and makes me break out in a cold sweat.

I wouldn't even borrow it for free if the public library has it.

My wife loves Christmas albums and so I’ll likely get it. With EC, there is always chance of some tasteful guitar. An example of this would be his cover of Autumn Leaves from 2010, ends with a really nice guitar solo.

While discussing his recent film project, there were rumors that Warner may be finally releasing performances from 1994 tour on Bluray (“Nothing But The Blues”) this Fall....so far, we hadn’t heard anything officially but I hope that’s true!

I think next reissue will be 2019 now, remembering the recent Life in 12 Bars soundtrack, they wont flood the market, must be time for a reissue next year.

I will Enjoy the new Xmas record. It will probably have some very tasteful playing. News flash, The Cream is not getting back together. Go somewhere else for your power trio fix.

"For Your Love On Christmas Day"....I almost read that as a remake of The Yardbirds song. Now that would of been interesting! :uhhuh:

I have Dylan's holiday album, but I don't play it. I love Bob, but....

I am a huge Clapton fan, and I will listen and decide.

Jingle Bells? What's he going to do with Jingle Bells, unless he inserts a 45 minute Crossroads-type solo in the middle.
