Looks like they may have been taken off the bill... I was thinking about getting tix but no DP no show for me! https://themusic.com.au/news/pandem...DKAB6BAgOEAE&usg=AOvVaw3vromrJwxEjZOekOFT476U
That's quite a line up. Wonder if DP only just pulled out? They are still listed as playing on the Pandemonium website. https://www.pandemonium.rocks/
https://www.discogs.com/master/20105-The-Birthday-Party-The-John-Peel-Sessions This Discogs listing has the CD artwork which says that Calvert played on tracks 1-12, thus including the track in question.
It does but it also has Harvey as Drums as well I seem to remember that it was Harvey not Calvert but I cant find anthing to confirm or refute
However I think Ive found the answer - the session was recorded in 81 - Calvert was left behind in 82 - so its must be him not Harvey

out of interest has anyone ever bought the Sex Pistols NMTB either this one (the one listed as a paperback) SEX PISTOLS - NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS - SEX PISTOLS | Amazon.com.au | Music or this one SEX PISTOLS - Never Mind the Bollocks | Amazon.com.au | Music I am just trying to get a good sounding copy, I can find an origonal UK for about $200, an OG Japanese copy for less than half that or the back to black copy, for about $50. Any one buy one of these or have any recommendations??
I'm a big fan of this record and have a few copies lying around. I would avoid any modern reissues - they are just too laid back. This is a punk rock album and needs some balls. My favourite is this one: Sex Pistols – Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols (1981, Vinyl) - Discogs I paid $30 for mine about 5 years ago. They're around.
Thanks mate, I will keep my eyes peeled. Nice to see an Aussie press getting the nod. Cheapest on discogs is just under $100 now. Totally agree this needs some grunt! Which is my main concern with the Japanese pressing, as good as they can sound they can lack balls.
This one's a nice rendition https://www.discogs.com/release/1139667-Sex-Pistols-Never-Mind-The-Bollocks-Heres-The-Sex-Pistols Sticker on front: "30th anniversary edition as originally released with poster and 7" insert". Limited edition reissue of the SPOT's edition, as per the original it is an 11 track pressing, with the correct running order of tracks. Complete with the 7" one sided Submission single and poster. Labels are sky blue with timings and Matlock is correctly credited on EMI, along with 'Chris Thomas & Bill Price' production credits. Unlike the other tracks, no duration is given on label for Submission. Rear sleeve omits Submission reflecting the original sleeve design of the SPOT's package. The track E.M.I. is printed EMI Unlimited edition on the back of the sleeve. Unlike the original it is reproduced in a heavy-weight paper sleeve and pressed on 180g vinyl. while theyre not lying around on the ground this one seems to be at a reasonable price for what theyre saying is a "Mint Unplayed , still sealed Perfect New" one, just the postage cost is a bit misleading https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/2977378394 this one from Italy might be a little cheaper https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/2921491615
