That one is one of the best and most underrated albums from the 60s, it's as good as "Odessey And Oracle", "Village Green", etc

"Everyday Another Hair To Turn Grey" it's one of the most beautiful and sad song I've ever heard.

I'll agree with this list. I think Satanic Majesties is a fantastic album. Of course, all the critics hated it.

"Blaze" by Herman's Hermits is another great and unknown album from 1967: "Museum", "Moonshine Man", "Last Bust Home", "One Little Packet of Cigarettes"... all terrific songs, the best album of the Herman's.

I apologize totally. February 1968 is so far removed from 1967.

There was no Mellow Yellow UK release. There was a twelve song album called Sunshine Superman there were another
8 tracks released only on 45. a total of twenty tracks. these were released in the U.S. as a pair of 10-track l.p.'s
    Sunshine Superman and Mellow Yellow.

There was no Little Games UK release. If the Yardbirds had had control of their releases outside the UK
it wouldn't have been released anywhere.

Actually the industry was still tiny in 67 although growing extremely fast. the industry seemed to double size each year at the end of the sixties. It seemed to go from 1/2 billion dollars to a billion to 2 billion to 3 1/2 billion during those years 68-71. Let's say, in 67 it was in the process of becoming something big. The seventies was when the record business was big business. The Beatles contract for example was they got 1 penny for each
record sold in the UK. outside the UK they got 1/4 cent. In the mid sixties the break even point for the average album was sales of 10,000 copies.

Mellow Yellow was never a UK release until much later reissue programmes. Sunshine Superman was put back a year due to the contractual dispute with PYE and the UK version contains tracks from both albums. From Wikipedia -

"Due to the contractual dispute between Pye Records and Epic Records, Donovan's releases were held back in the UK throughout 1966 and early 1967. During this time, Donovan released Sunshine Superman and Mellow Yellow in the US. To catch up to the Epic Records schedule in America, Pye Records compiled a cross-section of both albums and titled it Sunshine Superman.

It was released in the UK (Pye NPL 18181) in June 1967 and reached #25 in the British charts."

David Bowie's debut came out in 1967 and probably tops that year with absolute classics like Uncle Arthur, Rubber Band and Maid of Bond Street... unbelievably consistent album...
