1492: Conquest of Paradise (pre-order)

In June 2017, Ridley Scott's 1492 is finally going to be released on blu-ray in Region 1, and is now up for pre-order:

I know this isn't his best work, but it is an interesting take on the pivotal historical event, with a film score by Vangelis.

 

Did anybody pick this up? I am wondering about the picture quality. I haven't (yet?) found a review on the Internet, but I'm sure those will follow. To repeat, this is the first North American release of this (badly neglected?) Ridley Scott film. I am fairly certain it was released in 1992 in commemoration of the 500th year anniversary of Columbus discovering [sic!! X 10] America. A far better film is the Mexican film Cabeza de Vaca, also released in 1992. Its DVD looks pretty rough on a large screen, unfortunately.
