I still find myself searching the internet in hopes of finding some new obscure CD release with the original incidental music cues from Gilligan's Island, I Dream Of Jeannie, The Andy Griffith Show or The Brady Bunch. To me something like this would be the holy grail of TV soundtracks! I remember reading somewhere that the Twilight Zone DVD set contained some isolated music tracks so I was wondering if any of the shows listed above also include isolated music tracks as a DVD bonus feature. I did find a budget CD reissue of the 1961 LP, The Andy Griffith Show - Sings, Themes and Laughs with Earle Hagen's music from the TV show but those tracks appear to be themes that were recorded specifically for this album as opposed to the actual TV soundtrack cues. A while back someone send me a nice clean version (actually two versions) of the theme from The Munsters, taken right off the DVD, and as far as I know that is only place to find the actual, original TV theme for this particular show. I absolutely love 1960s television soundtrack music but in general I prefer the original TV recordings as opposed to the LP versions so it's a lot harder to find those versions reissued on CD. There are some great original soundtrack CDs out there that I've been able to track down (Lost In Space, The Outer Limits, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Land Of The Giants, The Time Tunnel, Room 222, Batman, I Spy, The Prisoner) but those soundtracks to Gilligan's Island, Andy Griffith and The Brady Bunch mean as much to me as any great record of that era and I would love to be able to have this music in my collection. Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!
