I use both the Nagaoka MP-110 and the Ortofon 2M Blue with this table. I like them both. For a warmer sound, go with the Nag, a bit roll off but otherwise great. For more treble, clarity and detail, go with the Blue.
It seems to me that the Blue is more flat while Nag warm the sound. Taste dependent. Both are very good, no sibilance or IGD if well aligned, both track the same. When I find distortion with one, I try the other and it's the same, so no one seems to be better than the other in this field.

How did you like the Bronze compared to the Blue?

Your profile page listens a Rega Planar 3 as your turntable? Did you change it for the Pioneer? Which one do you like better?

Nice, I'd like to see a comparison later. I know about at least a couple of this forum users who had both and ended up preferring the Pioneer and so far no one on the other way.

I was sitting on the fence about these two and ended up buying the Pioneer, it made more sense to my needs (also Planar 3 is twice the price here), I had a thread asking for comparisons, it's somewhere around here.

Is that right ? In the EU, there's a huge price difference. The PLX is around 650 euros while the Ortofon Bronze can be had for less than 300.

Same here, both more expensive but that table is twice the price of that cartridge.

they both have advantages. the Rega arrived with cart installed and set up was a breeze.

No need to buy cables either, so really not twice the price...when you consider cart and cables..

I mean twice the price in Brazil. Probably because it is cheaper to import from China since everyone does that and there are a lot of companies in that circuit than from the UK.

I'm not sure about the power cord, I'm not using it because I had another one in the Brazilian pattern, and also I'm using the interconnects I already had so I didn't try the ones that came with it, but I do know that there are at least two different types of interconnects being delivered with the Pioneer. Maybe you'll get a different type than what you saw in the videos.
