Why? TMC runs their movies totally un-cut.

It's TCM (Turner Classic Movies) not TMC, and yes they show all thier films uncut and in their original aspect ratios.

But, someone HAD to have worked on it to show it, huh?
No news of it being released on DVD.

I doubt we'll be seeing Jason Osborne describing the 'ins & outs' of "Prison Girls In Trouble" any time soon.:D

Anyone ever see this in the theatres (or possibly drive-ins)? It was shot on videotape at 1.66:1 (so TCM wouldn't need to worry about aspect ratio) but I can't help but wonder if, at the time, projectionists matted it widescreen.

  18. We don't get Cinemax in Canada. Although I have heard the channel refered to as Skinemax.
I saw 200 Motels theatrically in the mid-late 1970s at one of the art house cinemas back home in Winnipeg. Been a long time (30 years), however I don't recall that it was widescreen.

    Thanks for the heads up.

It presents a dilemma for me though.

Scanners (IFC) and Motel Hell (AMC) are playing in the same time block.

"A movie about people who do stuff that is not normal."

"There are 4 billion people on earth. 237 are Scanners. They have the most terrifying powers ever created... and they are winning."

    "Their thoughts can kill!"

"10 Seconds: The Pain Begins. 15 Seconds: You Can't Breathe. 20 Seconds: You Explode."

“It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent fritters."

    "You might just die...laughing!"

"Visit this tasty "meating" place if you dare..."

    "Meat's meat and a man's gotta eat."

    Yes,

I saw it when it was first released and it cost me a whole 60 cents at the Srand Theater in OB California.

To be honest, I can't remember the format. I think I would have likely remembered had it not filled the screen.

I'm not gonna lie, it's not a masterpiece!
Like Magical Mystery Tour, it's just for the joy of seeing the Fo& Eddie band in action!
