They did do nirvana and counting crowd on gold back in the day. I could go for a Blind Melon debut SACD. But honestly there is plenty of stuff from their comfort zone 1960-80s to get the mofi treatment. I'm not complaining.

They can, after they have released all the SACDs that they already announced (Chicago, Love, Miles Davis, The Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Santana, Bob Dylan). :)

CTA and Chicago II are ready to go per Music Direct. They are waiting for band approval.

Wouldn't they already need approval to master the albums in the first place?

They need the license to start work, yes. But some acts reserve the right to sign off on their work before they go to market.

A Blind Melon S/T SACD would be amazing! Even more amazing if it had the recently released 'Sipping Time Sessions' EP (that was bundled on RSD with the S/T on vinyl).

I've got the Counting Crows and Nirvana issues... They're not bad, but beaten by vinyl re-issues.

    I really hope the band isn't demanding a Rhino-type sound. ;)

Music Direct is shipping the Bill Withers Live at Carnegie Hall SACD. My copy is supposed to arrive tomorrow. It will be my first copy of this album.

Is there any place outside of the "audiophile" online stores where one can purchase the most recent MFSL SACDs?

I checked ImportCDs last night, and I don't think they've stocked a new MFSL SACD title since April 2014. And the last one listed on Amazon was Miles Davis Bitches Brew, but I think several have been released through the "audiophile" online stores (Music Direct, Acoustic Sounds, etc.) since that one.

Amazon and ImportCDs have always been a few weeks behind in getting them in stock, but it seems like now they're both at least a couple of months behind.

    Craig.

They have, but their search engine won't pick them up if you search by label. Same with Audio Fidelity. I have pointed this out to them by e-mail a few times, but they've never fixed it. You can find the newer titles, but have to search by title or band. You can get the Allman Brothers "Brothers And Sisters", but they don't have "Bitches Brew" yet that I've been able to find. All of the recent AF titles are there.

How did you find the Allman Brothers "Brothers and Sisters" SACD?!?

I did a general search for Allman Brothers, sorted by release date, and only see the VINYL version:
    http://www.importcds.com/Search/Guided/allman brothers

    Craig.

P.S. - This search for Mobile Fidelity still seems to work for me:
    http://www.importcds.com/Search/Results?type=200&lbl=mobile+fidelity
... unless you're able to find newer titles in stock there than what's listed at the above link???

  24. You have to search by UPC number for those SACDs. The easiest way to pull the UPC number is by running the amazon page through a site like camelcamelcamel.

Well, I can't find it now. In fact, when I pull up my order and click on the item (which has already shipped), it says "no product found". So it looks to have been removed from their database. It was UPC 821797210362 and is titled "brothers & sisters". Not sure what the deal is.
