There are some people who believe this isn't accurate at all. I'd be one of them.

There are some people who like to argue with facts. I'm not one of them.

Well, I take the number of sales of each recent releases as facts. And they are quite telling. Though I can understand that's a hard pill to swallow for such an opinionated individual like you.

...this is just my opionin, but I like the saying " don't judge a book by its cover"....the same could be for records ....sales of any product don't indicate quality,, just quantity ....

Are the 2 on the bottom left the same? They're slightly different colors but look alike.

I have all of these too and the Live at the Aquarius is easily the best one to date. IMO :agree:

It is kind of sad that the band's management put so much emphasis on RSD product, rather than focusing on quality mainstream product. If the same effort went into its mainstream retail operations, perhaps by now there would have been a LA Woman box set, a properly done Matrix box set, a singles box set, etc.

I've heard nothing but good things in regards to the Aquarius vinyl. Wish I had a copy. My only complaint is that it was somewhat difficult to obtain, unless you wanted to pay outrageous shipping fees from the Doors official site. Would have been far more convenient (for me, anyway) if it was available via Amazon, Elusive Disc, SoundStageDirect, etc.

The sound of Live at the Aquarius vinyl is outstanding. It's the only RSD purchase I've ever made. Certainly shows it's possible to put out a high quality release. On a side note, my 1st copy had pressing issues on Side 1 but fortunately the record store had 2 copies and I was able to exchange it for a perfect one. Would have been more than annoyed if it was shipped order.

We have to consider that any RSD release is always sold out.
Can you imagine if the London Fog set were a RSD release? i bet my kidney that it would be in the charts

Not exactly sure what hasn't been quality? Please, spare me the Fog Box complaining.

You're welcome. It's been an interesting experience rehashing these old memories. It's interesting to read that Densmore didn't like the fact that his drums were buried (in the stereo release) as that is exactly what my first impression was, when I first dropped the needle into the groove for my first listen in stereo. His drums drove every track in the originally-released mono version, and I was so used to that, that it was an immediate loss when I listened to the stereo version.
