...back to the topics thread, I'm surprised I haven't seen any reviews for the vinyl release of the 'Matrix'...

 

Nichole, it goes beyond you talkin' smack about my GF. You promised to produce the Village Theater 1967 - 30 second clip and you couldn't. Stop talking like you are in the know. That footage was eventually shared by someone else.

 

I know this will never happen with the Doors, but just throwing it out there in case anyone actually inside the Doors camp reads it; There was a box called ''The Complete Matrix Tapes" that came out in recent years by a band (arguably) equally as influential/important to music as the doors called the Velvet Underground.

The ENTIRE 4 CD set containing ALL of the music available (twice as long as the complete Doors Matrix tapes) cost a whopping $35 brand new on the day it was released. It was fantastic and clearly done with the fans in mind. 4 hours of treasured music (ironically from the same venue) for $15 less than the London Fog CD (which contains 1/8 the amount of music).

It's hard not to complain so all I'll say is that it sucks for FANS that the people who handle the Doors' legacy have treated it so poorly. I wish they would take a cue from the VU or Dylan or Beach Boys camp and just empty the vaults. It doesn't have to be all at once, but when you compare the amount of rare stuff they have released with any other band of their popularity from that era (Kinks, The Who, VU) it's just depressing. That's my 2 pence. Cheers
